Colonel Mihalovic is a native of Slovakia, Europe. He was born in 1975, Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia. His military education started in 1989 by attending the Military High School in Banska Bystrica and continued by study and successful graduation of Military Academy in Liptovsky Mikulas as Engineer Officer in 1997. His military career started afterwards as Engineer Platoon Commander and Deputy Commander of Engineer Training Company in Sered. After completion of Master degree in 2001 he became Commander of Engineer Training Company and later Demining Company Commander. From 2010 till 2012 he served in Land Forces Headquarter in Trencin as Staff Officer and after promotion to OF-3 he became a Deputy Commander of Engineer Battalion in Sered. Graduating the Higher Command and Staff Course in 2016 he took over the position of Chief of Staff of Training Base in Martin and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel rank. In the years 2017 - 2019 Colonel Mihalovic has been serving as Engineer Battalion Commander in Sered. In August 2019, Colonel Mihalovic was assigned as the Commander of 905th Combat Support Specialized Centre, Novaky. On 1st September 2023 he assumed the command of the NATO EOD Centre of Excellence in Trencin, Slovakia. Colonel Mihalovic has been deployed for times in operations abroad, starting in 2002 as Commander of Engineer Demining Group in Eritrea (UNMEE, Africa), then 2006 as Commander of Multifunction Engineer Company on KAIA, Kabul, Afghanistan, later on in 2008 Engineer Company Commander on KAF, Kandahar, Afghanistan and finally in 2012 as Chief Engineer of KAF, Kandahar. Colonel Mihalovic is married father of two. |
