The CBRN EOD Doctrines and Standards Synchronization Meeting
From 27th to 29th of May 2024, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD COE) delegation joined the CBRN EOD Doctrines and Standards Synchronization Meeting, which was held at the Joint Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRN Defence COE) in Vyškov (CZE).
The primary objective of the meeting was to collaborate on synchronizing and revising pertinent policies, concepts, doctrines and standards related to NATO CBRN EOD tasks. The fruitful discussions resulted in many findings, which will be further analysed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of both COEs. The CBRN EOD roadmap was also updated.
This specific collaboration between EOD COE and JCBRN Defence COE is a very good example on how standardization within NATO can be enhanced, in addition to the already established working groups.
