EOD COE Explores Cooperation Opportunities at SlovakiaTech Forum 2025

Two Subject matter experts (SMEs) of the NATO EOD COE  - Mr. Vostiar and Mr. Fucek attended the SlovakiaTech Forum & Expo 2025 in Košice, Slovakia, held on 17–18 September 2025, to explore potential partnerships that could support the centre’s mission of enhancing EOD capabilities through innovation, education, and cooperation.

The SlovakiaTech Forum is one of Central Europe’s leading technology events, bringing together industry leaders, academic institutions, research organizations, and government agencies. Its focus on cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and advanced manufacturing, closely aligns with EOD COE’s efforts to advance training methodologies, tools, and concepts for NATO’s EOD community.

During the forum, the EOD COE representatives met with technology companies, startups, and universities such as the Singapore Institute of Technology  or Technical University of Košice to explore collaboration opportunities. Discussions focused on innovative solutions in robotics, VR/AR training, detection technologies, and cybersecurity to enhance EOD capabilities and operational safety.

By participating in SlovakiaTech 2025, EOD COE strengthened ties with the regional technology ecosystem and identified opportunities for joint research, co-developed training curricula, and field trials of emerging technologies. These collaborations will help ensure NATO and partner nations remain at the forefront of EOD innovation and readiness.
