the EOD COE Training Branch organized two iterations of the Homemade Explosives Course – basic. The individual courses were performed with the assistance of Subject Matter Experts from Ammunition Testing Centre Novaky and Institute of Energetic Materials (University of Pardubice, Czech Republic).
All course iterations were performed in the form of a mobile training team within the premises of the 15th Engineer Regiment in Bechyně, the Czech Republic.

The exercise NORTHERN CHALLENGE is a Multi-National Bomb Disposal Exercise at the top of Europe which takes place at the Icelandic Coast Guard facility in Keflavik, Iceland. The exercise itself consists of series of conferences which purpose is to create the best conditions for the two weeks running EOD scenarios practice in Land and Maritime environment.

The IEODSOT was the first course organized by the EOD COE in 2017. The iteration lasted from 6 till 14 February 2017 with participation of 17 students (16 from NATO countries and 1 from Finland).

Exercise EXER 2017 is an annual Multi-National Interservice EOD exercise hosted by Norwegian NAVAL base (NAVBS) in Ramsund. Aim of the exercise is to provide training, exercise and development of land and maritime EOD Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) at the squad and team level, in cold weather environment (CWE).

The EOD COE co-organized and supported the running enterprise of Horyzonty Film Festival for a third time. This year the run was held on 12th November in the centre of Trencin.

The EOD COE organized 53rd EOD WG meeting that was held in Demanovska Dolina, Slovakia, 18-21 October 2016. Aim of the meeting was information exchange on ongoing projects, review of outstanding processes and update on EOD publications.

On 26 April 2016, the representatives of the EOD Centre of Excellence LTC Augustin Cirjan and MAJ Pavel Truchly took part in a ceremony commenorating over 10,000 Romanian soldiers who faught heroically and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the Slovak territory in World War II.
