NATO CBRN EOD IM SOT provides EOD Staff Officers with training on CBRN EOD Incident Management up to the brigade staff level during multinational operations aiming to advise the commander on chemical, biological and radiological explosive ordnance disposal and CBRN matters. NATO and PfP nations are invited to attend the training, which will take place in Trenčín, Slovakia from 15-19 October 2018.

The Steering Committee is established for guidance, oversight and decisions on all matters concerning administration, policy and operations of the EOD Centre of Excellence. The meeting concentrates on the POW 2019, Financial Statements 2017, Budget 2019, MTFP 2020-2024 and EOD COE Information and Communication Technology Project proposal.

The main idea of the NATO EOD Demonstrations and Trials 2018 is "Multidisciplinary Approach to EOD", a challenge for EOD/IEDD experts, scientists, producers, industry and SMEs involved in the fight against terrorism. The exhibition takes place at the INCHEBA Expo Bratislava, Slovakia from 19-20 September 2018.

NATO EOD SOT is designed to educate and train non-qualified EOD staff officers to achieve basic level of proficiency in accordance with NATO and EU standards. EOD staff officer is able to plan, prepare, command, control and coordinate EOD operations within multinational operations at battalion and brigade levels of command. NATO EOD SOT is to be held from 09 APR 2018 until 20 APR 2018.

The aim of the Homemade Explosives Course – Basic Train the Trainers (HMEC-B T3) is to educate instructors able to organize and execute an HME course on awareness level or with the support of an energetic materials chemist a HME course on basic level.
The course is to be held in the Ammunition Testing Centre in Nováky, Slovakia from 19 March until 23 March 2018. The registration is open until 19 February 2018.

The HME Advanced Course introduces responding personnel to the precursors used by criminals and terrorists in the manufacturing process of homemade explosives, along with the synthetized finished explosive mixtures. Students learn to identify the hazards of mixed or partially mixed precursor chemicals, identify unknown materials and related hazards, process a scene for evidentiary purposes and safely remove and dispose of these hazards.
